ABOUT THE SHANE FOUNDATION
The Shane Foundation focuses its philanthropic resources on improving the communities in which we do business.
The primary way we do this is by partnering with local organizations (including nonprofit organizations, governmental entities, and local businesses) that address neighborhood beautification, community development, and workforce development. This enables them to lift up community members and enrich economic development.
By supporting and growing these partnerships, we can implement building projects that include general construction, painting, and remodeling in residential, commercial, and industrial areas – revitalizing communities and fostering economic growth and self-sustainability.
HELPING COMMUNITIES THRIVE
We believe there should not be an imaginary dividing line around our central business centers – with poverty and unemployment on the other side. Instead, we choose to build from within our communities to grow opportunities for advancement and development together.
Our workforce development initiatives include not only classroom training on construction, remodeling, and painting skills, but also on-the-job training via neighborhood beautification projects.
The end result is a more beautiful community, with a new generation trained in skills, enabling them to contribute to the economic vitality of their community.
We help ensure funding for these projects through individual and corporate donations, in-kind donations, and corporate, government, and community building foundation grants.
By funding workforce development through beautification projects, every dollar spent will help create an empowered workforce, having a long-term impact on the economy, vibrancy, and morale of communities.
Providing job skills helps lift up this new generation, enabling them to be strong economic and social contributors to their local communities and creating thriving, beautiful neighborhoods.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT
It is the mission of The Shane Foundation to partner with stakeholder organizations in the communities in which we do business in order to facilitate the funding and management of projects. These projects improve the visual beauty of the community and the resulting quality of life for residents.
For some initiatives, we will also provide local citizens with workforce training and on-the-job experience, providing lifelong skills that will enable them to earn a living wage and contribute positively to their local community.
