It is imperative for us to collaborate with local officials, leaders, and organizations to best address each community’s needs. This enables us to create real ongoing social change that will impact many generations to come with the investments we make.
We created The Nevada Community Fund in order to grow the funding needed to reinvigorate the local communities that are most in need of our help.
We accomplish this by collaborating with local organizations like The Nevada Community Foundation, giving us direct communication regarding the specific needs of local communities and how we can most efficiently help address them with our resources and programs.

WHAT IS THE NEED?
Because we provide services in Nevada, we saw there were far too many local communities with buildings needing repairs, run-down homes, and lots that were underdeveloped. This is preventing local communities from flourishing as they should.
The Nevada Community Fund was created in order to create solutions to this problem by devoting financial resources to renovation, construction, and neighborhood improvement projects connected to workforce educational programs to enable communities to transform from the inside out.
We will furnish the necessary tools, resources, and training to residents of the community, giving them the ability to help their communities reach their full potential.
We partner with organizations such as the United Way of Southern Nevada and similar officials and entities, enabling our combined work to create a much larger impact than any of these organizations would be able to create individually. Together, we can create the beneficial improvements that all of us want for each community we assist.

HOW WILL WE HELP?
We create partnerships with local leaders and organizations who are already working to help local neighborhoods so that we may collectively provide our neighbors with the resources needed for communities to grow and thrive.
We work to create more awareness of current socio-economic issues impacting the community and discover solutions to address those needs by utilizing our network of donors and supporters.
This approach leads to more effective use of resources in Nevada, enabling us to create long-term impact.
On The Shane Foundation’s website, we have the ability to receive proposal requests for funding of projects directly from the community. This allows us to share these requests with local government officials and organizations who are in a position to address the specific needs of the project and, in some instances, allows us to participate in providing the funding to enable the project to happen.
We are able to fulfill our mission of empowering communities to thrive from within by researching the needs of the community directly from stakeholders, including residents, businesses, community organizations, and local officials. This allows us to fund projects that are based on what the community members actually need, instead of making those decisions for the community.

The Shane Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping uplift impoverished residential areas through redevelopment, renovation, painting, and construction.
